Using GPRS Internet connection in Ubuntu - Aircel, Airtel

By Karthik , 9 January, 2011

Idea Are you want to browse internet from your Ubuntu OS through GPRS from your mobile?
In ubuntu 9.04 many mobile phones will be deducted automatically.
I am using SonyEricssion K320.
After your mobile phone deducted, go to edit network connections
Enter the following APN for Aircel
aircelgprs.pr
For Airtel
airtelgprs.com

Now, you will browse internet very fast through gprs.
When comparing to Windows Operating system, Browsing in ubuntu OS is very fast in particularly through Mobile GPRS connection.

If you ticked the optionAutomaticaly connect to internet, after entering the above APN you will be connected automatically to internet.

Enjoy Internet browsing through Aircel's GPRS for Just Rs.14/- for 3 days
